T.G.F.F - Thank Goodness For Friends
Boy was it a rough morning with the kids! From the moment they woke up, it was bickering, yelling, whining and so on... when the morning starts like that, you really know what kind of day it is going to be. So how do you get out of the funk before the hubby gets home and you take it out on him or when one of the kids does something and you really freak out more than you should??? Well for me... its my friends. It is great to have a friend you can talk things over with and to help you see through the funk. haha. Then when you get it all out, you can talk about more distracting things like furniture and home decorating... throw a few laughs in as well, and you have started fresh for the day! So thanks Friend. What would I do without you?

The Very First Blog
Hello Friends, Family & and (since this is the web...) any random person that might be reading...
Let me first quickly tell you why I have started a blog. Being a mother and wife there are so many stories to be told that I simply want to share. I want to share to keep you updated on our family, maybe to give you a little laugh, for other young mom's and wives for you to know YOU ARE NOT ALONE and for the memories. I want to be able to really remember my life as a mother, a wife and as myself.
Let me tell you a little about myself... I am 25 years old, I have been married to my AWESOME husband Shawn for 5 years and we have 3 beautiful kids together. Cody (4 1/2) Kellie (3) and Noelle (1 1/2). I am currently a stay-at-home mom studying to get my Real Estate License. I am also a licensed Esthetician and a Make-up Artist.
I must say I REALLY love my life. I feel extremely blessed every day. Now don't get confused because I certainly have my hair pulling-want to runaway-tired of this - is this really my life?- days... but I am happy. Now I am prepared to share with you one of my "Is this really my life days?"
Poor little Kellie woke me up at 3:50 am this morning complaining of a tummy ache. So I thought maybe she had to pee since Cody wakes me up at least once a week complaining of his "tummy hurting" but he really just has to pee. So I walked her to the potty, she did her business and then I walked her back to her the room that she and Noelle share and told her to go to sleep. Then I noticed a "poopy"smell and walked over to the baby's crib (Noelle) and smelled her little tushy only to realize she pooped in her pants during her sleep! I figured "eh, its 4 in the morning she'll be awake in 2 hours, I'll just let her sleep in it." and most importantly, I can go back to sleep! Naturally 20 minutes later Kellie was screaming because she had vomitted all over herself. AWESOME! THIS IS GOING TO BE A GRRREAT DAY! (notice the sarcasm) At that point (4:15 ish) I decided to just move Kel into my room on one of those princess pull out couches for kids and let her rest there. Then Cody comes strolling in wondering why Kellie hasn't gone back to her bed (silly me, I actually thought he slept through all that) so Cody moved in on his Thomas the Train pull out couch and camped near (not too near) Kellie. Of course they didn't fall back asleep, poor Shawn didn't get to go back to sleep so he just got up early for work. Kellie proceeded to throw up every couple of hours but she is the best patient! Ok....here was the topper of my day. I was downstairs on the couch around 11:00am hoping Kellie was falling asleep in my room when I suddenly hear a gagging sound. I look up at the banister and suddenly I see vomit spewing over the banister down below onto my buffet table where the night before I just moved it there to make room for the Christmas Tree. So there all over the beautiful antique buffet table and the Nativity Scene I had set up on it, is a bunch of Kellie's throw-up. I run upstairs to take her to the bowl I had set-up next to her couch and on the way back into my room she spews more throw-up onto my bedroom door and carpet. And little Noelle has no idea what is going on she is just following her sissy around stepping in the puke. So needless to say, its been a FUN day! Especially the whole cleaning-up-the-vomit-all-over-the-house part. By the way, I am still in pajamas, not showered and its 3:45pm.
So there it is! A day with Team Schock!!! Thank goodness Shawn will be home soon to help me out! And special thanks to my mom for bringing over crackers and gingerale so early this morning and another special thanks to Dana for the frozen lasagna you gave us a couple days ago... now I don't have to cook dinner!
